Mark Gordon, MD, FACS
Dr. Mark W. Gordon is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He is a board-certified General Surgeon on the Active Medical Staff of Memorial Hospital Pembroke and Memorial Hospital West, both in Pembroke Pines, Florida, and Palmetto General Hospital in Miami Lakes, Florida. He is in private practice. He has additional expertise in Colon Rectal Surgery and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He trained at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA; Downstate Medical Center in NY, NY; and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. He is certified by the American Academy of Wound Management.
He has written several publications and has much experience in medical consulting. He is currently a medical expert witness for the State of Florida, a surgical reviewer for Medicare in Florida, and has vast experience in disability, peer review, auditing and Independent Medical Examination (IME) work. He has also served as a managing director of a medical malpractice defense trust.
